DRUMS & VOCALS

As a teen in Mission B.C., Rob got his start creating the band The Nune Dae Sons. After 5 successful years he joined the 3-piece vocal group The Overnight Bag, who played throughout the Northern B.C. club circuit. After returning to the Fraser Valley, he started a family and a career in real estate. Rob reunited with Bernie at a high school reunion and Vinyl Recall was born.

Rob Johnson

Bernie, along with Rob, started his musical career in 1964 by forming a band that played at local dances and outdoor performances. Known as The Nune Day Sons, they played throughout most of the 60's. A career in television production and starting a family intervened, but Bernie reconnected with Rob in 2012 to form Vinyl Recall. His vocals are unparalleled and his sound is spot on to the songs we know and love from the years when rock was young.

Guitarist Ari Lahdekorpi's experience includes work as a studio musician, producer, and composer, as well as a sideman with Blues legends Pinetop Perkins, Bo Diddley, Billy Craig, Bobby Vinton, and Paul Shaffer. Having recorded serveral solo guitar albums, he was named one of Canada's "unsung guitar guru's" by CBC Radio and has been featured in Guitar World Magazine. He joined Vinyl Recall in 2012, and has been rocking ever since.

Ralph began his music career at age 6, and has been a member of numerous bands since age 12. His ability to play a variety of instruments has contributed to the long list of venues he has performed at, including the Copper Room, Hotel Vancouver, and the Bayshore Inn. Ralph is laid back and always ready to entertain a crowd with his skill and smooth voice.

Chris began his musical training at age 7 with the Toronto Conservatory studying classical piano. In high school, he got his start in live pop music performing with various small groups. In 1973, Chris joined Natural Act, a popular Fraser Valley band. In 1974 he left Canada with the band to work for a year in the U.S. Back in Canada, he continued his commitment to live music and loves it to this day.
